When Were Tiling was first founded, our core focus was on offering a reputable, honest and reliable tiling service for customers in and around Glasgow. However as time has gone on, we have found that more and more of our enquiries are coming for residents of Towns, Villages and Cities across Scotland who are wanting to restore the tiling in their home to match the period styling of their Victorian home.
It got to a tipping point where we have now decided to officially offer our Victorian Restoration Tiling services to customers across Scotland. For understandable reasons, if you were wanting to call on our services and you happen to live in Inverness then there would naturally be a travel charge that we would have to include in our pricing.
‘So why would I not just use a local tiler instead’ I hear you ask. One of the reasons that we receive so many enquiries is because Victorian Tiling Restoration is in fact a speciality skill that few tilers possess. The careful and time consuming nature of restoring and replacing detailed mosaic patterns and colour and pattern matching where restoration is not possible – it is a set skill that quite a lot of tilers are not equipped for. This isn’t the same kind of process as tiling a new bathroom or kitchen (though we do that as well).
It is why we call ourselves a speciality tiler and it is why the demand for our services goes beyond Glasgow and now covers the greater part of Scotland.
